Daddy's Business Trip 05/2015

Every year our Nate attends a convention for his work in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This year the twins and I got to join him! This was awesome because I grew up in Las Vegas and have family down there!

We stayed at the Red Rock Hotel and it was wonderful! The twins loved it!

We got to visit family, swim, shop, and we even went and saw a movie! The movie was a big hit! We saw "Home." I loved it, Nate loved it, and so did the twins! We took my little sister with us! She was in heaven! My little sister has a neurological disorder and is in a wheelchair so she does not get out to see movies often but boy does she love them! The twins just love their Aunt and I am so grateful we got to spend time with her!

Traveling-Oh the Places We Have Been...

Nate and I love to travel! We haven't been to a ton of places but the places we have been-we have loved! I wanted to post some pictures for you to see. My favorite places that I have traveled to so far are England and France. These countries are rich with history and patriotism. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I cried my last night in Europe because I didn't want to go home. That may sound childish but I had dreamed of going to Europe since I was very little. My favorite book was James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl and it took place in England. I was in heaven for a little bit. Nate's favorite trip so far has been Costa Rica. He loves the warm weather and beautiful beaches. Anywhere Nate can relax on a beach and read a book, is Heaven to him :)
We travel to Vegas often. This is where I grew up and my Dad and youngest sister live there. Nate has some cousins that live there too! We love going to different restaurants and attending the different shows there. The most recent show we went to was the "Beatles Love" show by Cirque Du Soleil. We loved it!
We plan to travel more and take our future family with us as well,

Amber in London eating a tasty ice cream cone and drinking a super delicious Coca Cola!

Holiday Traditions

Lots of people have lasting family traditions that correlate with the Holidays. My family has 2 traditions that I wanted to share with you. During the Christmas season my family makes Christmas ornaments. My father and sister are artists. They are amazingly talented. My mom even has the artist touch... but me I like to come along for the ride and enjoy the company. Nate has enjoyed this tradition and we now invite our close friends and family to participate. We mostly us Sculpey clay, class and plastic clear ornaments, paint, and any other odds and ends we can find. My sister and I enjoy doing crafts when we hang out and recently we have started making fun holiday letters. We have only done letters for Halloween but we intend to include all of the other Holidays as well. So check these out! The elf was made by my dad, my sister made the Gru and Dobby the elf face, and the rest by friends and myself...

Thriller

I was born in October and every year for my birthday I go to thriller. Since I live in Utah, we always go and see Ballet West's Thriller. It is my ultimate favorite. In 2010 we went to see Thriller at the Tuacan Theatre in St. George, Utah. It is an outside amphitheater against the beautiful red sand mountains in Southern Utah. The ambiance of the theater is fabulous. My best friend Megan and her husband Nate came with us, along with my brother and sister-in-law Dave and Niki. I got to spend an evening with 5 of my most favorite people. I wanted to share some pictures of past Thriller productions. This is a tradition I have had since way back. Before the production starts, dancers in Zombie Costumes walk around in character giving the attendees little scares here and there. In one of the pictures with Dave and Niki you can one of the Zombies wasn't camera shy at all and decided to get her photo taken with them. I don't know if it's the adrenaline rush or what but those Zombies scare me every single time. I think they can smell fear because they always sneak up on me and make me jump about 10 feet off the ground (well not literally but you get the picture)

GO JAZZ!!

Me, Amber, And Nixon (Amber's best friend's Son)

Jazz Bear doing his thing!

So we are sitting watching the Jazz game and I thought I would just mention that we love the Utah Jazz. Amber is a super die hard fan. She has about 10 jerseys, when Deron Williams left the Jazz she was heart broken because she loves the jazz so much (and because 3 of her jerseys just became completely obsolete). Tonight they are playing the nets and D-Will now plays for the nets, luckily we are routing them. Obviously I am a pretty big Jazz fan too, I watch all the games and cheer them on, but Amber she is an extreme fan! Some day we hope to own season tickets, but for now the big screen is our best friend! GO JAZZ!

Wedding Slideshow.wmv

This is our slideshow that played during our wedding reception. We thought you might like to see what we looked like when we were little kidos.

The first song playing is called "Little Wonders," by Rob Thomas and the second song is called "Where We Gonna Go From Here," by Mat Kearney. "Where We Gonna Go From Here," is our song and we danced to it at our wedding.

Nate and I have been to both artists in concert and we pretty much love them!

Our Wedding

Nate and I got married June 29, 2010. It was one of the craziest days ever, and we had a BLAST!

We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and afterwards we had a ring ceremony at Red Butte Gardens.

Nate and I love dancing! We spent most of our reception gettin' down and boogieing' the night away!

One fun fact about our wedding. We had 12 flower girls! Nate is the youngest of 8 so we had a lot of little nieces. The were the cutest ever too!
